Victoria Spackman ONZM joins Acumen as a Director

Victoria Spackman has been appointed as a director of the Acumen Trust Board and the Acumen New Zealand Board. The Acumen Trust company manages the Acumen employee trust and it owns the trading company, Acumen New Zealand, on behalf of Acumen’s employees.

Victoria becomes the third independent director joining Michael Dunlop (Chair) and Keith Watson, the former managing director of HPNZ.

Victoria brings strong credentials with her experience in creative industries and governance in the education and technology sectors.  She complements Keith’s long IT career experience and broad governance roles in technology and consulting.

Victoria began her career as a lawyer, is a co-owner and director of The Gibson Group, Chair of Ackama, a technology company that operates in Wellington and Melbourne, Co-Chair of Toi Mai Workforce Development Council for the creative, culture, recreation and technology sectors, and a Director of Education NZ which markets the New Zealand education sector internationally.  In addition to joining Acumen as a director, Victoria has also recently been appointed to the Board of MetService, Katherine Mansfield Birthplace Society and CDC Pharmaceuticals.

Keith led HP in NZ for 12 years following extensive global technology roles. He is Chair of NZIER, Complete 3D and Independent Director of Rakon, Counties Energy Group and ECL Group. Previous governance roles include Chair of Opus Consultants and member of University of Auckland Business School Advisory Board and Director NZTech. Keith was appointed a director of Acumen in 2019.

Acumen NZ Ltd also has four Executive Directors: Adelle Keely (CEO), Mandy Hancock (COO) and Bronwyn Millar and Alysha MacLean, the General Managers of Wellington and Auckland respectively.
