Exciting blended in-house and agency role for an intermediate PR person

We have an exciting role available for an intermediate PR person who is creative and has strong writing, content development and media relations skills. This is a blended in-house and agency role where you will be seconded three days a week client-side and spend the remaining time back in the agency. The client is leading consumer technology brand and you will have the opportunity to work closely with a talented team of communicators, marketers, brand and product people in New Zealand and Australia. If you have an interest in gaming that would be an advantage.

Your background is likely to be as a PR or as a journalist. You will have the ability to translate technical information and product features into simple, interesting stories and content that engage audiences and encourage talkability. You will have the ability to work independently and take direction. You will understand the importance of relationships and be able to engage with senior business people. You need to be responsive and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

We’re looking for someone with three to five years’ experience.

Finance Assistant - Auckland office

We are looking for a finance assistant who wants to do a fantastic job in an exciting environment. At Acumen, the finance & admin team is very much part of the agency and we need you to really care about supporting the consultants to do the best job possible for clients. There is some data entry, but most of all we’re after a fast thinking problem solver to join our Auckland office and get stuff done.

You need to be excited by getting it right first time, using your initiative and being super-helpful to your colleagues, suppliers and clients. You will be competent at budgeting, invoicing, and reconciliations, and quick to pick up software and processes. You will help ensure that the office is working smoothly, and that everyone has what they need. A good understanding of accounting or job costing will be an advantage.

We are looking for someone who has business acumen, intellectual curiosity, a can-do approach and a sense of humour. You will need to be creative, enjoy working in a demanding environment and be willing to turn your hand to whatever needs doing.
